ABOUT BRANDY

My name is Brandy Donald. I am the wife to my biggest supporter and best friend Ian, mother of two amazing boys and a Nurse Practitioner (NP).  I have been working in the healthcare system for 25 years - 10 years as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the CCU and the last 15 years as a primary care NP with a family practice here in Miramichi. I am the Medical Director for Luxe Medical Aesthetics.

I obtained my Bachelor of Nursing (BN) and Master of Nursing (MN) Nurse Practitioner from UNB Fredericton.  I obtained my certified medical aesthetic injector from the CNA accredited program THMA Consulting Inc.  I have attended four cadaver labs travelling to Toronto, Scotland, Halifax and Texas to further my anatomy knowledge.

I am a Clinical Trainer in medical aesthetics for THMA as well as Prollenium Medical Technologies Inc. and I offer one on one mentoring/support to new injectors.  I constantly continue to elevate my own learning through online training, conferences and additional course certifications. I have added facial ultrasound services to the clinic following my training in Calgary and am pleased to offer the highest standard of safety to my patients.

“My techniques are constantly updated to reflect the most up to date standards based on best practice in this constantly evolving field.  I am passionate about medical aesthetics and this passion translates to the level of service and results achieved for my patients.  My patients leave our clinic feeling safe, informed and confident!”

WHAT IS A NP?

As per Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB)

In New Brunswick, a nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse who has completed a nurse practitioner program (masters level university degree), and has advanced knowledge and clinical expertise.

The NP is a member of the interdisciplinary health team, whose role is independent. This means that NPs do not work under the direction of a physician but work in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members such as dieticians, RNs, pharmacists, etc.

NPs have the authority to diagnose and prescribe.

ABOUT
KELLY

My name is Kelly Whelan.  I am married to my loving husband David, mother of two beautiful girls and a Registered Nurse (RN).  With a 34 year background in nursing, I take great pride in ensuring client safety and care by maintaining high nursing standards and professional ethics.  I have worked in several fields of nursing over my career including emergency care, CCU, Nurse Supervisor, and my current position in correctional nursing.

I obtained my nursing diploma in 1986 and then obtained my Bachelor of Nursing in 2007 from the University of New Brunswick.  I am a certified medical aesthetic nurse injector with the CNA accredited THMA Consulting Inc. and am also a Clinical Trainer for THMA offering education and support to new injectors.

I strive to learn new skills through online learning, conferences and additional certification training in order to provide my clients with the highest standard of care in a safe and comfortable environment.  I have attended four cadaver labs travelling to Toronto, Scotland, Halifax and Texas to further my anatomy knowledge.

My priorities as a nurse injector are to make sure my client’s needs are understood, educating the client and providing them with information needed to make the best decision regarding their treatment, and that the treatments I provide achieve the desired results.

“My aim is to enhance the client’s natural beauty, help slow the inevitable aging process and boost self confidence through the use of medical aesthetic treatments”.

ABOUT ASHLEY

My name is Ashley Hare. I am a cat mom to two spoiled Ragdolls - Frankie & Archie, caffeine lover, bookworm, and fan of all things health and beauty. I am also a proud Nurse Practitioner (NP). I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Nursing in 2015 and worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) on the in-patient oncology/internal medicine department at the Moncton City Hospital. A couple of years later I decided to further my education and obtained my Master’s of Nursing through the University of New Brunswick to become a Nurse Practitioner in 2019. I currently work full time at a busy family practice in an Indigenous community. I first became passionate about medical aesthetics during the global pandemic. It was during this time that a lot of focus shifted to self-care and wellbeing, and thus my passion grew.

Fun fact: I was actually a patient practice model for Brandy & Kelly for neurotoxin treatment when they were completing their injecting course - talk about a full circle moment as I am now working with them at Luxe! In the fall of 2023 I decided to turn my interests into a reality and obtained my certification to become a medical aesthetic injector through the CNA-approved THMA Consulting Inc. A few weeks later, I attended my first cadaver lab in Halifax, NS. I am excited for lots of upcoming training and conferences in 2024 including: Toronto and North Carolina in April, as well as Las Vegas in June and San Diego in September.

As a nurse injector I am passionate about helping clients look and feel their best by enhancing their confidence and natural beauty. By educating clients, providing up-to-date recommendations, and developing informed decision plans it is my hope that all my clients will feel valued and supported at Luxe Medical Aesthetics. This industry offers a creative outlet for me to practice as an NP and I am looking forward to where it takes me!
